Winnie the Wise Fairy has Arrived!

A little over a year ago, I realized something quiet but powerful: mindfulness had completely reshaped the way I moved through prior struggles.


The fears.

The perfectionism.

The internal pressure.


Instead of fighting those parts of myself, I began to understand them.


And slowly, those themes became fairies.


Bloom represents fear.


Winnie represents the emotional storm — when we react from overwhelm instead of from calm. In my life, that often looked like perfectionism — the pressure that rose when reality didn't match how I thought the moment should go.


Because underneath that pressure… was emotional intensity.


Yoga taught me something simple and powerful:


Emotions move in waves.


When we pause, breathe, and move, the wave passes. Clarity returns. Pressure softens into wisdom. Yoga is a mindfulness practice that helps me create space and come back to a regulated place.


I see this in my kids all the time — what can look like defiance is often dysregulation. When we help them settle, they choose differently.


That’s why Winnie is wise.


She teaches that feeling intensely isn't a flaw.


It's part of being alive.


And when we learn to breathe with our big feelings...

to move with them instead of against them...

we can return to that calm, quiet place inside.

That place of internal safety.


And in that quiet space, we can hear our hearts.

That's where kind choices begin (for both ourselves and others).

That's where wisdom grows.

And that's really what I wanted to share with families reading Winnie's story.
